Tax Accountant

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Accountant to manage the preparation and filing of tax documents, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and support financial planning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of tax law, excellent analytical skills, and experience with tax software and accounting systems. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, or organizations. Ensure timely and accurate tax payments and filings in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure proper compliance. Assist in tax planning and advise on tax strategies to minimize liability. Reconcile tax accounts and maintain organized tax records. Support external audits by providing necessary tax documentation and responding to inquiries. Identify potential tax credits and deductions. Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary data for accurate reporting. Stay current on changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst, or similar role. Strong knowledge of tax laws and accounting principles. Proficiency with tax software (e.g., TurboTax, UltraTax, ProSeries, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
