Ambulatory Services Representative II (ASR II)

Location: Pearland, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $23.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a customer-focused and detail-oriented Ambulatory Services Representative II to support a leading healthcare system in Pearland, TX. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in ensuring a seamless clinic experience-from scheduling and registration to insurance verification and check-out.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and staff in both in-person and virtual clinic settings
• Perform patient registration, ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, and medical information
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications to support reimbursement
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, including follow-ups, diagnostics, and ancillary services
• Manage check-in/check-out processes, including collection of co-pays and pre-visit payments
• Communicate effectively with clinical staff regarding patient arrivals, delays, and clinic flow
• Maintain accurate documentation and reconcile daily charges and batches
• Coordinate interpreter services as needed to support patient care
• Monitor patient flow and assist in optimizing clinic efficiency and throughput
• Perform general administrative duties such as filing, faxing, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience (healthcare setting preferred)
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and patient registration processes
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Proficiency with computers and standard office/clinic systems
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
