Forklift Operator (TPO-Weekend Night shift)

divh2Forklift Operator/h2pLocation: Tooele, Utah/ppShift: Thurs-Sat 6:30 PM-7:00 AM, subject to change based on business need/ppForklift Operators support the shipping department with the movement of materials and products, including taking part in warehouse organizing and finished goods inspection, taking product off the production line and putting it away in designated locations in the warehouse, loading and unloading customer trucks./ppStandard work week 40 hours a week with occasional overtime, no travel required./ph3Duties and Responsibilities:/h3ulliPerform pre-shift forklift inspections on forklift./liliRecord preventative maintenance activities, quality inspection data, equipment downtime, production output and other key metrics, performing mathematical calculations as needed./liliSafely operate a propane sit-down forklift to move raw materials or finished products throughout the manufacturing floor, which includes, but is not limited to, keeping production line clear and running and keeping product and raw materials properly stored./liliVisually inspect material for quality defects; Segregate defective product and notify supervisor./liliFill dumpsters from production floor; Housekeeping of plant (inside and out)./liliWork as a team with production and shipping team to follow all facility Standard Works/processes and improve operations./liliSupport the recycling area, when needed, and help to keep it organized./liliFill in on other areas of the plant (e.g., Machine Operator) as required./liliAssists forklift operator II as needed./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulh3Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:/h3ulliHighly motivated with a good, sound work ethic./liliPrior experience operating a propane sit-down forklift or other mobile equipment (Powered Industrial Trucks)./liliMust demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail./liliAbility to follow CWTs policies, procedures, and processes./liliGood communication, organization, and time management skills./liliBasic computer, mathematics, and problem-solving skills; ability to use a calculator./liliAbility to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers)./liliTeam player able to follow instructions from both management and peers./liliAbility to learn and operate new equipment./li/ulh3Education and Experience:/h3ulliRequired:/liulliHigh School Diploma or GED is Preferred/liliMust be at least 18 years of age or older./liliPrior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred./li/ul/ulh3Working Conditions:/h3ulliFast paced manufacturing environment where workers are exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures and dust; working with mechanical parts and pinch points; exposure to increased noise levels./liliHours worked: 8-10 hours/shift, varies on shift schedule and business volume./liliFlexible to the possibility of overtime and weekend hours when required./liliHeavy, stationary machinery on manufacturing floor./liliRadio, Calculator, Measuring Devices/liliHand tools/liliComputer (Shop Floor and ERP)/li/ulh3Physical Requirements:/h3pOCCASIONALLY - FREQUENTLY - CONTINUOUSLY/pp(0-30%) - (31-60%) - (61-100%)/ppLIFTING OR CARRYING/pp1-10 LBS - X/pp11-20 LBS - X/pp21-40 LBS - X/pp41-50 LBS - X/pp51 OR MORE LBS/ppPUSHING OR PULLING:/pp1-40 LBS - X/pp41-50 LBS - X/pp51 OR MORE LBS/ppBENDING OR STOOPING - X/ppREACHING ABOVE SHOULDER LEVEL - X/ppDRIVING AUTOMATIC EQUIP.
