Construction Cost Manager Location: Los Angeles, CA Compensation: Competitive base salary + bonus Overview A highly regarded real estate development and project management firm is seeking a Construction Cost Manager to support a growing portfolio of high-end projects across Los Angeles. The firm specializes in design-driven residential, multifamily, and commercial developments, delivering complex projects from early-stage feasibility through construction and final delivery. This is a hands-on, owner-side role that offers direct involvement in financial decision-making and project execution. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts Lead cost control and reporting throughout the full project lifecycle Support feasibility analysis and value engineering initiatives Manage bid processes, leveling, and contractor negotiations Review and approve change orders, payment applications, and invoices Oversee draw processes and project cash flow tracking Partner with internal and external teams to maintain budget alignment Identify risks and implement cost mitigation strategies Provide clear financial reporting to leadership and stakeholders Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field 5–12+ years of experience in construction cost management, estimating, or project controls Experience supporting ground-up construction projects Strong background in: Budgeting and cost planning Cost tracking and reporting Change order management Contractor procurement/bid evaluation Experience with projects in the 20M-$150M+ range preferred Solid understanding of construction contracts and delivery methods Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Experience Experience working on the owner/developer side or with the owner’s reps Exposure to luxury residential, hospitality, or design-focused projects Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach #J-18808-Ljbffr
