Position Summary The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic partner and primary HR point of contact for assigned departments. This role operates as the face of Human Resources within the business, proactively building relationships, driving engagement, and aligning workforce strategies with organizational goals. The HRBP integrates human capital strategy with operational needs, providing consultative guidance to leaders on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness. This role exercises independent judgment and discretion in managing complex employee matters, facilitating solutions, and supporting leaders in achieving both operational and cultural excellence. Key Responsibilities Strategic Partnership & Business Integration Serve as the primary HR liaison for assigned departments, developing deep understanding of operational workflows, workforce challenges, and strategic priorities Attend and actively participate in leadership and team meetings to provide real-time HR consultation and support Build strong, trust-based relationships with leaders and employees to influence outcomes and drive engagement Partner with leadership to anticipate workforce needs, including staffing, retention, and succession planning Translate organizational initiatives into actionable strategies within assigned areas Employee Relations & Workplace Support Provide guidance and coaching to leaders on performance management, accountability, and employee concerns Manage employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, in partnership with Employee Relations Assess situations using sound judgment, ensuring alignment with organizational policies, Just Culture principles, and regulatory requirements Support consistent application of policies, ensuring fairness and organizational integrity Identify trends in employee concerns and proactively recommend solutions Leadership Coaching & Development Coach leaders on effective communication, conflict resolution, and team dynamics Support leaders in navigating difficult conversations and performance issues Reinforce leadership accountability and adherence to organizational expectations Partner with HR leadership to implement leadership development initiatives Culture, Engagement & Employee Experience Act as a champion of organizational culture, promoting engagement and alignment with mission, vision, and values Partner with leaders to interpret engagement data (e.g., GPTW results) and support action planning Support onboarding and employee experience initiatives within assigned areas Identify opportunities to improve morale, retention, and team effectiveness HR Operations & Compliance Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and organizational policies and practices Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Compensation, etc.) to deliver seamless HR services Support workforce changes including reorganizations, transfers, and terminations in accordance with policy and process Maintain appropriate documentation and ensure accuracy within HRIS systems Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Required 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience including leadership coaching, workforce planning, organizational development, talent management, change management, and partnering with operational leaders to drive business outcomes.
