Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Services

Registered Nurse (RN) – ER Services Job Type: Full Time | Evening Sign‑On Bonus available to qualified individuals. Schedule: 3x12, Evening (1p to 1a). Overview The ER is a 12‑bed unit that provides direct patient care to critically ill adult patients, using the nursing process and the organization’s policies to deliver high‑quality care. Responsibilities Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Document patient care provided. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Current Kentucky or compact state RN license. Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – required within one month of hire. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – required within one year of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required within one year of hire. Handle with Care – required within 30 days of orientation.
