Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Location: Syracuse, New York

Duration - 13 Weeks

Position Overview:
Seeking a skilled and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse to join a busy outpatient surgery center. The ideal candidate will have recent OR experience and be comfortable caring for both pediatric and adult surgical patients in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Full-Time Position
Day Shift
Monday-Friday Schedule
8-Hour Shifts
80 Hours Biweekly
No On-Call Requirements
No Weekends
No Holiday Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Active New York State Registered Nurse License
Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification
PALS Certification
Experience caring for pediatric patients (6 months and older) and adults

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and implement individualized perioperative nursing care
Prepare operating rooms and verify availability of sterile equipment and supplies
Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
Ensure safe patient positioning and adherence to surgical safety standards
Facilitate smooth transitions from surgery to recovery
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary surgical teams
Maintain accurate clinical documentation
