Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a night shift role at a Level II Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of RRT experience and comfort with vents and EKGs.

Details

• Level II Trauma teaching hospital setting within the Respiratory Care unit
• Provides emergency, intensive care, and therapeutic respiratory services for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36-hour guaranteed schedule
• Every other weekend required (Fri/Sat)
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Comfortable managing ventilators required
• Comfortable interpreting EKGs required
• CRTs will be accepted
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required
• NBRC certification required
• Michigan state license required
• Out-of-state and compact licenses not accepted
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Performs invasive and non-invasive monitoring, diagnostic testing, and patient education for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary conditions
• Monitors and maintains respiratory equipment
• Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities
• Black scrubs required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers with adjusted pay rate
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested
