Radiology Technologist - PRN (varied hours; on-call) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Performs C.T. and Diagnostic Imaging procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback. Operates C.T. equipment, Diagnostic Imaging equipment, including imaging equipment in the operating room. Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists. Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol. Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner. Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio‑med. Manages and coordinates the activities of the Medical Imaging Department with other areas of the department and hospital to insure and maintain patient care. Capable of performing office and transporting of patients as necessary for patient care. Schedules patients. Has understanding of and troubleshooting skills as related to PACS and CPSI. Participates in professional society (i.e., ISRT or SCD- Area 5) MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: High School Diploma. Successful completion of an accredited two year Radiologic Technology program. Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice Maintains active registry status in ARRT Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.
