Job Description Options For Youth (OFY) is a network of free public charter schools offering students a flexible, personalized approach to learning. We are looking for educators who are outgoing, authentic, energetic, motivated, and inspiring, with a strong focus on the student‑teacher relationship. Responsibilities Deliver our educational program to ensure data‑driven, results‑based instruction for students in the implementation of the Common Core Standards. Provide direct instruction to students six hours a day. Teach for mastery of the Common Core Standards and maintain strong knowledge of single‑subject content areas and lesson planning for a differentiated curriculum. Use assessments and data to influence instruction, keeping grade, attendance, and retention records. Provide targeted interventions for special education students and English Language Learners. Participate in community groups, faculty and professional meetings, educational conferences, teacher training workshops, and assist with state‑mandated student testing. Meet with students and parents to discuss student progress and problems. Qualifications BA/BS Degree. CA Preliminary or Clear single‑subject teaching credential with English Language Authorization (ELA). Intern eligible.
