Research Registered Nurse

The Research Registered Nurse is responsible to the Principal Investigator and/or the Associate Chief of Staff/Research and Development (ACOS/R&D). Responsibilities of the Research Registered Nurse include, but are not limited to the following:

• Assessing individuals to determine their qualification for inclusion in research protocols
• Responsible for understanding the regulatory guidelines that guide the conduct of research
• Assessing and acting independently within scope in response to research related issues
• Communicating effectively with patients, their significant others, nursing staff, & other healthcare team members
• Screening patients for inclusion in studies
• Providing information relevant to studies
• Obtaining informed consent
• Assist in directing the provision of research education and regulatory compliance assessment
• Engage in quality improvement for study recruitment protocols

Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards

Paid Time Off: 50 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

Compressed/Flexible: Compressed schedule may be considered after training requirements have been met
