NEMT DRIVER – NON-EMERGENCY MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION
Company: Marathon RVA Transportation
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Pay: $850 per week
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Work Hours: 5:00 AM–5:00 PM
Payment: Paid weekly
Marathon RVA Transportation is hiring dependable, professional, compassionate, and safety-focused drivers in the Charlottesville, Virginia area to join our Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) team.
Our drivers safely transport ambulatory and wheelchair passengers to and from medical appointments, dialysis treatments, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities.
Driver Responsibilities:
- Safely transport ambulatory and wheelchair passengers
- Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle when needed
- Properly secure wheelchairs and passenger restraints
- Arrive on time for all scheduled pickups and appointments
- Keep the assigned vehicle clean and presentable
- Communicate professionally with passengers, families, healthcare facilities, and dispatch
- Follow all company safety and transportation procedures
- Treat every passenger with patience, dignity, and respect
Driver Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license
- Good driving record
- Must pass a background screening
- Must pass a drug screening
- Must be dependable and punctual
- Comfortable assisting elderly passengers and individuals with disabilities
- Able to safely assist with wheelchair transportation
- Professional appearance and attitude
- NEMT or professional driving experience is a plus
Compensation & Schedule:
- $850 per week
- Paid weekly
- Monday through Friday
- 5:00 AM–5:00 PM
Training may be provided to qualified candidates, including wheelchair securement and passenger safety procedures.
