Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients exhibiting mood disorder symptoms, including evaluating the frequency, severity, and duration of these symptoms to inform treatment planning. \n
- Collaborate with individuals and families to create tailored treatment plans that align with their unique circumstances, preferences, and therapeutic goals. \n
- Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), specifically tailored to address mood disorders common among hospice patients. \n
- Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them to actively engage in their mental health journey. \n
- Monitor client progress using established metrics and adapt treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal patient outcomes. \n
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians and social workers, to provide comprehensive care that meets our clients' psychological and emotional needs. \n
- Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health treatment, integrating new findings into practice to enhance client care. \n
- Accurately document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering strictly to ethical and legal standards of practice. \n
- Engage in regular team meetings and professional development sessions to improve your clinical skills and stay abreast of best practices. \n
- Act as an advocate for clients, helping break down the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting their holistic well-being. \n
This position focuses on clients who are dealing with terminal illnesses as well as their families, often experiencing profound emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, and grief. Your expertise in mood disorders will be instrumental in helping these individuals navigate their emotional journeys, providing supportive care during crucial life transitions.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York state is required. \n
- Proven experience in employing evidence-based therapeutic methodologies, particularly for mood disorders, to achieve successful client outcomes. \n
- Familiarity with psychopharmacology and a collaborative spirit to work alongside psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals. \n
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and relate to clients from diverse backgrounds, building strong therapeutic alliances. \n

- At least three years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, preferably in hospice or palliative care environments. \n
- Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling environments. \n

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually.
