Job Duties:

The Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology RN Coordinator serves in an expanded role to assess patient needs, plan and provide nursing care and coordinate follow-up care for patients receiving treatment in an outpatient Hematology/Oncology setting. Primarily responsible for care navigation throughout the continuum of care. Key responsibilities include patient education, triage and care coordination.

This role is full-time, 40 hours weekly; Days. Clinic hours are 7:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

A minimum of 2 years RN work experience is required.

Required Certification: Maintains competency in Chemotherapy and Biotherapy administration as demonstrated by completing and maintaining The ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certification. Work towards OCN certification once required hours are completed, to further demonstrate competency in this specialized field of nursing.

Education:

Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required), Bachelor's Degree-Nursing (Preferred)

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years-Nursing (Required)

Certification(s) and License(s):

Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body, Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification courses within 3 months of hire - Default Issuing Body, Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania, Oncology Certified Nurse required after completion of required hours - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC)
