Consumer Loan Processor

Responsibilities Perform all aspects of direct consumer loan processing, including the processing and funding of high priority loans within promised timeframes. Monitor LOS system queues to draft all types of direct consumer loan documents for completion. Execute end-of-day closing procedures, which include balancing the national branch and securing checks and confidential data in the vault. Catch and fix errors on loan applications, problem-solve, resolve issues, and provide mentoring to co-workers as needed. Provide assistance and backup to all other consumer lending personnel, as needed. Build and maintain solid and positive professional relationships with sales, underwriting, processing, and closing staff. Qualifications One year of general lending experience preferred. Previous direct or indirect loan processing experience preferred. Good understanding of credit union policies, systems, documents, NCUA regulations, and other laws pertaining to home equity/mortgage lending. Strong decision-making skills and the ability to solve difficult problems effectively. Attention to detail and accuracy.
