Job Description

Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic purposes. Performs additional imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.

Responsibilities:

• Operate CT equipment and other imaging modalities to capture accurate diagnostic images.
• Assess patient conditions and coordinate imaging procedures for a diverse patient population.
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.
• Document and manage patient records, images, and billing information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
• Transfer images securely via PACS and teleradiology systems for radiologist review.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and facility policies regarding patient safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Possess an associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• Be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with RT (R)(CT) or RT (R) credentials.
• Hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Have a minimum of two years recent experience in CT imaging.
• Maintain certified licensure as required by the state of practice.
• Possess fluoroscopy and venipuncture certifications preferred.
