Title: Senior Epic Analyst

Location: Remote

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior EPIC Analyst with strong experience supporting and optimizing EPIC Health Information Management (HIM), Coding, and Abstracting applications. The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong EPIC technical expertise and healthcare operational knowledge, particularly in HIM/Coding operations.

The analyst will collaborate with clinical, revenue cycle, and operational stakeholders to analyze workflows, configure EPIC functionality, troubleshoot system issues, support implementations, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, configure, and optimize EPIC HIM, Coding, and Abstracting workflows.
• Collaborate with clinical, revenue cycle, HIM, coding, and operational teams to understand business requirements.
• Configure and maintain EPIC applications to support healthcare operations and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolution and production support.
• Participate in EPIC upgrades, system enhancements, new functionality implementations, and related projects.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret data to support business intelligence, reporting, and operational decision-making.
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end users and business stakeholders.
• Create and maintain user-friendly system documentation, workflows, and process guides.
• Ensure EPIC system usage aligns with healthcare regulations, compliance requirements, and data security best practices.
• Maintain current knowledge of EPIC releases, updates, functionality, and healthcare IT industry trends.
• Partner with IT, project management, and business teams throughout application development and implementation initiatives.
• Recommend process and system improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall system capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working with EPIC, with 7+ years preferred.
• Current Epic Certification in Health Information Management, Coding & Abstracting.
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and operational processes.
• Experience with HIM and/or Coding operations.
• Demonstrated experience with EPIC configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and optimization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience supporting system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective EPIC solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience within a healthcare provider/hospital environment.
• Strong HIM/Coding operational or business knowledge.
• Experience working directly with coding, abstracting, or health information management teams.
• Experience supporting EPIC optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 Annually -Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
