Plaintiff Civil Litigation Attorney

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Plaintiff-Side Civil Litigation Attorney with 1+ years of experience in any area of civil litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to focus exclusively on the plaintiff side, gain significant courtroom and case-handling experience, and grow with a dynamic solo/small-firm practice. This position is located in downtown Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of plaintiff-side civil cases from intake through resolution
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, oppositions, and trial documents
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Propound and respond to written discovery
• Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and trials
• Communicate regularly with clients and provide strong case management
• Perform legal research and draft memoranda
• Assist with case strategy and settlement negotiations
• Support the firm's overall caseload as needed

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in California (active and in good standing with the State Bar)
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience (plaintiff or defense side is acceptable; plaintiff experience is a plus)
• Experience in any of the following areas is welcome: personal injury, premises liability, employment disputes, business litigation, landlord-tenant, consumer protection, insurance bad faith, or general civil disputes
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with the firm principal
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Passion for plaintiff-side work and advocating for injured or aggrieved clients
