Responsibilities of the Director of Nursing (DON) Direct staff and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team to support to the residents and their families Supervise scheduling of staff to ensure uninterrupted service Recruit staff Assist in completing monthly audits of sample EMR charting Review admissions/referrals and assist in interviewing/selecting residents for admission with the Administrator's approval Serve as the Infection Control Coordinator, reporting in all matters directly to the Administrator Serve as chairperson of the Quality Assurance Committee Supervise the MDS/Care Plan Coordinator to ensure that all MDS forms are completed accurately and in a timely manner Manager on duty weekend rotation IND9 Requirements for the Director of Nursing (DON) Minimum two (2) years of Director of Nursing (DON) experience Current Registered Nurse (RN), license from the State of Illinois Clinical and supervisory experience in a mental health facility required Previous hospital and/or long term care facility experience required Proven leadership and relationship building skills Wilson Care is a 24/7 facility dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals affected by chronic psychiatric disorders.
