MRI Tech - Per diem

Responsibilities Under supervision of the Lead MRI Technologist, and following established policies and procedures, performs a variety of duties related to MRI. Performs MRI procedures in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of patients’ illnesses and injuries. Is responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing MRI procedures and the use of MRI equipment. Qualifications Minimum one year of experience in MRI Technology. Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills. Working knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy, and/or willingness to continue formal education in this category within a designated time period. Will require 1‑3 months of orientation or the equivalent with on‑the‑job training based on existing skill‑set. Preferred Qualifications Hands on experience with Siemens MRI equipment. Synapse/PACS experience. Certification ARRT or ARMRIT certification in Radiologic Technology and MRI Technology. Successful completion of an intravenous certification class approved by the institution, to be accomplished within the 12‑week probationary period. Physical Demands Use hands to control objects, tools, or controls. Stand or sit for long periods of time; repeat the same movements; remain on feet for long periods. Bend or twist body; hold arm and hand in a steady position or move the arm while maintaining position. Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls; use fingers or hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects. Move two or more limbs together (e.g., two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place. Speak clearly so listeners can understand; understand speech of another person. Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired. Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $40.39–$62.82 per hour. The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education.
