Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Powder Coating / Paint Technician to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on role is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal components using powder coating and wet spray painting processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting equipment, surface preparation, and quality inspection while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Training will be provided for motivated candidates looking to develop their skills in powder coating and industrial finishing.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare parts and surfaces for painting and powder coating through cleaning, sanding, grinding, masking, and other preparation methods.
• Apply powder coat and wet spray finishes to metal components using established procedures.
• Operate powder coating equipment, including Wagner systems (preferred).
• Maintain proper coating thickness, finish quality, and appearance standards.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Use hand and power tools such as sanders, grinders, and related shop equipment.
• Assist with material handling and movement of parts throughout the production process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in powder coating, industrial painting, wet spray painting, or a related manufacturing environment preferred.
• General knowledge of powder coating and/or pressure pot wet spray systems.
• Experience using hand and power tools such as sanders and grinders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to learn and be trained on company-specific processes and equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating Wagner powder coating systems.
• Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of coating preparation, curing, and finishing techniques.
