Hematology Clinician

Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of Washington Department of Pediatrics invite applications for the position of Hematology Clinician at the Cancer & Blood Disorders Center, a collaborative environment for basic, clinical, and translational research. Primary responsibilities include clinical duties within the Cancer & Blood Disorders Center, providing exemplary patient care, expanding the clinical program and patient services in general hematology and coagulation (with a specific focus on hemophilia), and playing a role in the education and training program for medical students, residents, fellows, and occasionally practicing physicians. The position is full-time at the Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor level. It operates on a 12‑month service period from July 1 to June 30, with annual reappointments. Faculty are paid for 11 months of work over the 12‑month period, allowing for one month of paid time off. The salary and academic appointment at the University of Washington will be based on experience, qualifications, and academic rank. All University faculty are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service. The anticipated start date for this position is Fall/Winter 2023. Base Salary Range Clinical Assistant Professors MD: $11,882 – $17,823 per month ($142,584 – $213,876 annually) Clinical Associate Professors MD: $14,976 – $22,464 per month ($179,712 – $269,568 annually) Clinical Professors MD: $18,809 – $28,213 per month ($225,708 – $338,556 annually) The actual salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This salary range includes the base salary provided through the Children’s University Medical Group (CUMG) practice plan, in addition to the base salary provided by the University. University benefit determinations and calculations consider only compensation provided by the University, while the CUMG practice plan compensation may offer separate benefits. Additional compensation, such as incentives for Hematology Clinician through the CUMG practice plan, and potential administrative responsibilities leading to an administrative supplement (ADS), may also be offered based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Qualifications Eligibility requires an MD, DO, or foreign equivalent degree; completion of a pediatric residency and a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship; and board certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. H‑1B visa sponsorship is available for foreign (non‑U.S.) medical schools, provided the candidate has successfully completed all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or its equivalent.
