Job Title: Travel RN CVICU

Job Description: This position is for a critical care unit focused on cardiovascular and thoracic patients. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a Level III NICU designation. It is also a Magnet designated facility. The unit has 30 beds with a typical census of patients averaging daily. The required patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 for regular ICU status and 1:3 for mixed status. Patients include those undergoing immediate post-operative care for CABG, TAVR, valve surgeries, heart transplants, fresh esophagectomy, and other major vascular surgeries. The preferred candidates will have experience with ECMO, CVVH, IABP, and VAD. RN skills must include expertise in invasive line management, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and management of cardiac medications. The unit is staffed with charge nurses who rarely have patient assignments, and there is a dedicated intensivist and surgeon available for care. Telemetry monitoring is performed at the bedside and from the nurses' station. Scheduling includes rotation for weekends and 1-2 holidays per contract, with a six-week cycle in place. The facility adheres to a fatigue policy limiting work to 60 hours per week. Professional scrub colors are required, with no graphics or logos permitted.
