FPGA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop new logic components for FPGAs.
• Implement custom signal-processing algorithms on FPGAs.
• Implement custom controllers on FPGAs.
• Collaborate with software engineers to develop embedded Linux applications that interface with FPGA logic components.
• Package and use IP components in FPGA block diagram designs.
• Work with development boards and in production environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science.
• Hands-on electrical experience from internships or engineering clubs such as FSAE, Baja SAE, solar car, rocket club, or robotics club.
• Experience developing in VHDL or Verilog.
• Preferred experience with Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoC and familiarity with the Xilinx Vivado/Vitis toolchain.
• Preferred embedded software experience, including embedded Linux and System on Chip architectures.
• Preferred experience with heterogeneous computing platforms and high-speed data acquisition systems.
• Familiarity with C/C++ or other high-level programming languages.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to apply first-principles reasoning to complex problems.
