Salary: $168,400 - 168,400 per year Requirements:
- We require 5+ years of professional software development experience outside of internships.
- We need 5+ years of programming experience in at least one programming language.
- We require 5+ years leading the design or architecture of new or existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- We look for experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: 5+ years across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent background.
- We lead the design and implementation of a distributed storage service operating at cloud scale.
- We develop software across the stack, from distributed systems work in Java to low-level systems programming that interfaces with hardware.
- We bring new systems into production and solve complex computer science and scaling challenges.
- We reduce the internal cost of migrating customer data to Glacier storage media.
- We improve data placement to make retrieval and garbage collection faster and more efficient.
- We own the migration pipeline from data discovery through to generating media-ready data units.
- We optimize data migration so it is fast and secure.
