Test Engineer - Data Migration Validation

Salary: $70,720 - 70,720 per year Requirements:

• Strong SQL-based database testing skills, including joins, aggregations, and subqueries.
• Experience with AI-driven test automation and scripting for data validation.
• Experience with file-to-file validation and backend reconciliation across systems and databases.
• Ability to conduct volume testing and validate large datasets across batch and real-time pipelines.
• Ability to validate data pipelines, transformations, and end-to-end data flows from AWS sources to downstream systems, including PNR creation on PID data.
• Strong understanding of data integrity, accuracy, and consistency checks, along with defect analysis.
• Preferred: Experience with enterprise data migration programs and ETL/ELT validation best practices.
• Preferred: Familiarity with AWS-based data sources and validation patterns.
• Additional skills: API testing with Postman, Swagger, or similar tools; understanding of REST APIs and methods; and ability to validate API responses against database data using JSON/XML checks.
• Technical experience with SQL and Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL, as well as AWS data validation, large data volumes, data migration, and ETL validation.

• Lead testing of data transformation and migration across enterprise Network Operation platforms handling millions of records.
• Design and execute strategies to verify data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity during migrations.
• Develop complex SQL queries and automated scripts to reconcile source and target systems at scale, including file-to-file validation.
• Validate ETL/ELT processes, transformation rules, data mappings, and business logic across multiple domains.
• Test batch, real-time, and incremental migration workflows end to end, including volume and large-dataset validation.
• Identify and investigate data quality issues and migration defects, including duplicates, missing records, and transformation anomalies.
• Work with data engineers, architects, business analysts, and application teams to establish test strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Produce data quality metrics, reconciliation reports, and migration readiness assessments for stakeholders.
• Promote best practices in database testing, automation, and data quality engineering for enterprise migrations.
• Partner with AI agent onboarding teams to define and carry out onboarding for UA agents and establish an automation-first testing strategy.
• Review architecture diagrams and solution objectives to understand end-to-end agent workflows and testing needs.
• Identify ways AI-driven test automation can improve coverage, efficiency, and workflow validation.
• Collaborate with development, architecture, AI partners, and QA teams to integrate database automation and AI agents into the lifecycle.
• Define test scenarios for AI-agent workflows, covering functional, integration, data, and end-to-end validation.
