Siemens Healthineers supports hospitals and clinics by keeping critical medical imaging equipment—such as MRI and CT scanners—operating safely and reliably. These systems play an essential role in diagnosing and treating patients.

As a Customer Service Engineer , you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing this equipment at customer sites within your local service area. Your work will include troubleshooting technical issues, performing routine maintenance, replacing parts, and documenting service activities. You will also work directly with hospital staff to ensure equipment is functioning properly and used effectively. This role is hands‑on and field‑based, combining technical problem‑solving with customer interaction. You will receive structured training, tools, and ongoing support to build your skills, even if you are new to the healthcare industry. Success in this role requires a strong interest in technology, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to professionalism and safety. Most importantly, your work will have a direct impact on patient care by helping ensure that vital medical equipment is available when it is needed most.

• Shift Requirements after onboarding/training for this role: M-F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

This is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As a  Customer Service Engineer I , you will be responsible for:

• You will be servicing Imaging Equipment in the Houston, TX  area. Customer Service Engineer Level based on prior experience.


• You are in a field-based, customer-facing role that primarily installs, services, maintains and modifies Siemens’ imaging equipment at customer sites.


• You will be responsible for delivering both timely and effective repairs as well as adequate training of operators to ensure optimal system performance, resulting in superior customer satisfaction.


• You will manage financial performance within their territory, meeting or exceeding budget for revenue generation, expense control and inventory management.


• You will manage company assets to include a company car, cell phone, computer, tools, inventory parts, etc.


• Establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.

• You have knowledge and experience performing service, preventative maintenance and modifications on Medical Imaging Equipment at customer sites with minimal supervision


• You have the ability and experience to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers, as well as performing necessary administrative duties accurately.


• You have experience in testing, repairing and maintaining capital medical equipment


• You have strong customer service and communication skills


• You are proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment

Required skills to have for the success of this role

• Minimum high school diploma, Technical Degree or equivalent experience.


• 1-2+ Years of field service experience is desired.


• Must be proficient in the use of tools and service test equipment, with the ability to work both individually and in an established team setting.


• You have strong customer service and communication skills.


• Ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography; willingness to participate in an on-call rotation after training and certification.


• Valid driver's license, ability to drive independently day and night, and good driving record required.


• Physical Requirements: Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone.

Service Operations & Ticket Management, Basic Networking & IT Fundamentals, Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Fundamentals, Safety, Compliance & Regulatory Training, Customer Interaction & Professional Skills, Shadowing & Hands‑On Field Experience.

Compensation target if hired after internship (this is a target and may differ based on experience, skills, and internship performance: $63K - $72K per year).
