Responsibilities

• Assist the supervising physical therapist in implementing plans of care for LTAC patients
• Lead or support therapeutic activities, including gait training, balance, strength, and range-of-motion exercises
• Monitor patient responses to interventions and document progress and outcomes in the chart
• Prepare and apply treatment modalities as directed by the supervising PT and ensure proper equipment setup
• Promote patient safety during transfers, ambulation, and functional activities
• Maintain clean treatment areas, manage equipment, and adhere to infection control and documentation standards

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license (or eligibility) per state regulations
• Graduate of an accredited PTA program (associate degree)
• Experience in LTAC or long-term care settings preferred
• Ability to work 8.5-hour shifts in a travel assignment and adapt to a LTAC environment
• Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with the PT team
• Eligible to work in the United States and willing to travel for this assignment
