Job Duties

Job Summary

Provides support to loan officer(s) by coordinating and scheduling processes, preparing documents, and compiling loan packages associated with the origination, closing, and selling of secondary market residential real estate loans and origination and closing of in house residential real estate loans while adhering to all compliance and regulatory rules. Creates and maintains loan accounts on the computer system and maintains documentation in loan files. Provides service to loan officer(s) and bank loan customers by meeting their requests for information and documentation.

Essential Functions

• Enters real estate loan application information in appropriate software system.

• Obtains quotes on necessary title work associated with loan packages.

• Orders/obtains credit reports, flood certifications, appraisals, title work, verifications of employment and deposits, homeowner’s insurance documentation, and other documentation as needed.

• Prepares required early disclosures and sends them to customers.

• Maintains log of file information received and reviews log at weekly meeting.

• Prepares all necessary documents for closing packages using the appropriate loan preparation software, reviews documents for accuracy prior to closing, assembles loan closing package, and facilitates delivery of package to Title companies and/or Mortgage Loan Officer.

• Complete pre-closing reviews of secondary market files within secondary market department.

• Ensures compliance with Mortgage Electronic Registration Systems (MERS) for secondary market loans.

• Prepares loan documents for in-house real estate loans in que as capacity allows.

• Works with title company to facilitate the delivery of funds for construction draws.

• Reviews all contractor bids and draw requests associated with construction loans.

• Disburses loan funds, preparing, and inputting all necessary entries. Facilitate investor funding of secondary market loans by inputting information on appropriate website and preparing proper entries.

• Send original secondary market real estate notes, mortgages, and final title policies to appropriate holder(s).

• Scans files for Bank’s internal use and facilitates shipping of notes, mortgages, and final title policies to loan servicer.

• Uploads, builds and maintains loan accounts on the Bank’s customer information software system.

• Scans loan documents into electronic records system.

• Maintains systems to track required documentation. Consistently follows up on pending loan and exception items including ticklers.

• Answers lenders and customers’ questions regarding loans and loan payments.

• Orders custom documents when needed.

• Reviews and initials off on HMDA reports prepared by lender.

• Performs office duties as assigned by Loan Officer(s) and Branch President.

• Responsible for protecting the privacy of sensitive business and customer information by following all confidentiality, security, and safeguarding customer information policies and control procedures

• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.

Minimum Education Required

Minimum one-year technical college education in clerical field, financial services, or related program preferred or equivalent education and experience to equal the above.

Minimum Experience Required

High attention to detail. Strong clerical and computer skills. Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure.
