Position Overview

Samaritan Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment. The ER RN will provide rapid assessment, stabilization, and treatment for patients experiencing acute illnesses or injuries in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in emergency triage, critical care interventions, and working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on severity of illness or injury.

Provide emergency nursing care including medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care.

Monitor patient conditions and respond quickly to changes in status.

Assist physicians with emergency procedures and treatments.

Document patient care accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

Active RN License (Washington or Compact)

BLS Certification (Required)

ACLS Certification (Required)

PALS Certification (Preferred)

TNCC Certification (Preferred)

Minimum 1-2 years of Emergency Room experience

Strong critical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced emergency environment
