About the Role

We're hiring a Metal Finishing Technician to join a reputable industrial manufacturer in Houston, TX (77003) .
You'll be responsible for prepping, plating, and inspecting metal parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up racks and parts for chrome plating.
• Clean, mask, and prep metal components according to work orders.
• Load and monitor parts through the plating process.
• Log tank temperatures and solution conditions daily.
• Inspect plated parts for proper finish, size, and quality.
• Operate forklifts and handle materials safely.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow all PPE/safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in chrome plating or metal finishing preferred.
• Comfortable using micrometers, calipers, and thickness gauges.
• Forklift operation experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely around chemicals.
• Able to read and understand work instructions in English.

Compensation & Growth

$20.00 - $37.00/hour , based on skill and experience.
Pay increases available with proven performance and skill advancement.

Training & Evaluation

• Training duration: minimum of four (4) weeks, with performance observed and evaluated on the job.
• Continuous improvement and adherence to process standards are expected and reviewed regularly.
