Job Opportunity – Critical Care Registered Nurse (ICU) – Central Texas

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Round Rock, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week contract assignment, 12-hour night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), alternating weekends, no call requirements

Highlights:

• 22-bed Intensive Care Unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2, sometimes 1:1 for high-acuity cases
• Advanced critical care environment managing complex procedures including rapid sequence intubation, CABG and valve replacements, thrombectomies, EVD insertions, and mechanical circulatory support
• State-of-the-art equipment including IABP, Impella, ventilators, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, SLED/TABLO machines, and Belmont rapid infuser
• Collaborative team environment with 60 nursing staff members dedicated to patient safety and clinical excellence
• EMR system: Meditech
• Award-winning unit recognized for team excellence, best throughput, and exemplary patient safety outcomes including zero falls in recent quarter

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license or eligibility for licensure
• Critical care nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification required
• Preferred: Trauma credentials (TNCC, CATN, TCAR) and post-operative cardiac surgery experience
