Part-time Veterinarian - Saline County Animal Clinic

Position Overview Join our team as a Part-Time Veterinarian with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment. Flexible scheduling to support your personal commitments while staying clinically engaged. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups. Communicate with clients and educate them about pets' health. Perform diagnostic procedures and surgery. Maintain accurate medical records. Prescribe medications and follow controlled substance protocols. Promote teamwork and staff efficiency. Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities. Evaluate and monitor hospital protocols from intake to discharge. Participate in daily rounds to uphold high standards. Contribute to practice management updates and training. Perform other duties as assigned by Management. Qualifications (Required) Veterinarian degree (DVM or VMD) from an accredited college or university. Current State Veterinary License. DEA registration must be obtained and maintained. 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice. Strong diagnostic and clinical skills. Excellent surgical and dental skills. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care. Effective communication with all members of the Medical and Hospital staff. Client communication skills, including rapport building. Confidence and reassurance when dealing with stressed or ill pets. Physical ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 pounds. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Clinical knowledge and skill in examining and assessing animals, including cardiovascular, respiratory, orthopedic, neurological examinations. Problem-solving skills to address challenges in hospital management. Effective communication of diagnostic and therapeutic options to clients and staff. Professionalism and constructive feedback practices. Business acumen related to veterinary hospital operations. Understanding of ethical principles guiding patient decisions. Commitment to continuing education and facilitating others' learning. Pay Range USD 130,000 — 150,000 Benefits Signing and retention incentives up to $50,000. CE stipend. No Negative Accrual option.
