About the Position

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department seeing approximately 180–200 visits per day, serving a patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:4, performing own lab draws and IV starts
• Care for a diverse case mix including trauma, CVA, orthopedic, and neurological presentations; facility serves as a CVA center
• Collaborate with on-site ED physicians, APPs, respiratory therapy (24/7, ER-dedicated), and pharmacy teams
• Support patients requiring behavioral health monitoring within a 6-bed locked behavioral health area staffed by psychiatry
• Hold and monitor vented patients in the ED until admission, coordinating with 24/7 respiratory therapy

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 5 years of emergency room nursing experience
• At least one prior travel nursing assignment required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ACLS or NIHSS, and CPI
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR (version 6.15)
• Ability to wear Caribbean Blue scrubs per department dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-acuity or Level II/III trauma emergency department environment
• Familiarity with central monitoring and telemetry tech workflows
• Experience working alongside nurse aides and paramedics in a team-based ED model
