Job Components Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship) Load and unload batteries Restock batteries Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship) General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas) Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next function/task Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management Qualifications High school graduate Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills No experience required. Experience in warehouse operations preferred – including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch‑wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems required High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Sense of urgency and well organized Scope Data Interacts professionally within the warehouse distributor team Interacts professionally with all other departments and team members Accountable for individual accuracy and commitment to learning from mistakes Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude Work Environment Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs, without assistance and occasionally lifting up to 75lbs Consistent walking or walking during shift Repetitive taping of boxes Overtime required as deemed necessary Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as exposure to moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Interstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
