Job Description

This hands-on role supports production equipment and facility systems in a manufacturing environment. The Repair Technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and CMMS documentation. Candidates may have a stronger mechanical or electrical experience, but must be willing to support both disciplines and perform basic pneumatic troubleshooting. The selected level (I or II) will be based on demonstrated experience and technical capability.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment, inspecting equipment condition, identifying abnormalities, and reporting or correcting issues before they become failures.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and work orders, troubleshoot problems, make repairs within skill level, test operation, and return equipment to service safely.
• Troubleshoot and repair common mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, couplings, pumps, valves, motors, gearboxes, and related hardware.
• Perform basic electrical troubleshooting on motors, contactors, relays, sensors, switches, wiring, and VFD-related faults using appropriate test instruments.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic systems, including air leaks, tubing, regulators, filters, cylinders, solenoid valves, and related components.
• Support maintenance of manufacturing and facility equipment such as CNC machines, ovens/furnaces, air compressors, HVAC equipment, pumps, scrubbers, and other plant systems.
• Accurately document work performed, labor time, parts used, equipment condition, and follow-up actions in the CMMS. Close work orders only after assigned work is completed.
• Identify parts needed for repairs, communicate shortages, use parts responsibly, and maintain tools and work areas in a clean and organized condition.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or Associate's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or related technology preferred.
• 2-4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience required; experience in both disciplines is preferred.
• Basic hands-on knowledge of pneumatic systems and components is required; basic hydraulic experience is a plus.
• Ability to use common hand and power tools and to read equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, or wiring diagrams relevant to assigned work.
• Basic exposure to industrial electrical controls such as sensors, relays, VFDs, PLCs, or HMIs is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use a CMMS, email, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong communication, teamwork, reliability, and self-management abilities; able to work independently after receiving direction.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English and support occasional off-shift or weekend maintenance needs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Basic hydraulic experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Work is scheduled from Monday to Friday, first shift hours from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Overtime may be available during the workweek and on weekends.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Miramar, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
