Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical / Progressive Care Unit

Nights – 1845-0715

This is a 13-week contract position.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical / Progressive Care Unit. This position involves providing quality patient care within a supportive and team-oriented environment. The nurse will work in a combined MS/PCU unit, caring for adult patients with a variety of medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient vitals and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize medical technologies and equipment competently.
• Document care and patient progress in electronic health records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Experience with Meditech, BIPAP, orthopedic surgery, telemetry, cardiac drips (non-titrating), and dialysis patients is required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Post-cardiac catheterization care experience is preferred.
