Requirements:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following:
- Weld smaller components (e.g. base plates, stiffener plates, cap plates, fillet welds, railings)
- Grinding and cleaning welds
- Replace wire in welding machines
- Out of position welding (horizontal and vertical)
- Weld larger assemblies
- Read WPS and set machine accordingly
- Follow all Safety Rules
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1+ year of experience welding Structural and Miscellaneous Steel.
- Experience with full penetration (CJP) welds on structural/miscellaneous steel is preferred
- Must be certified to operate the overhead and/or jib crane and/or forklift
- Must be certified in FCAW (wire) or FCAW-G
- HS Diploma/GED preferred
- Availability to work overtime as needed
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand, twist, reach, and move around for long periods of time
- Must know how to operate a grinder
