Distribution Center Manager

Reference: PR/600363_1784825883A building materials client of mine is seeking a Distribution Center Manager to oversee all warehouse and distribution operations. This role is responsible for staffing, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, customer service, and overall facility performance.Key Responsibilities:Lead and develop a high-performing team by ensuring proper staffing, training, and accountability.Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.Oversee receiving, shipping, and inventory activities to support on-time customer delivery.Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting and inventory control processes.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvements to drive operational excellence.Communicate goals and performance expectations, helping employees understand their impact on business results.Support continuous improvement initiatives and utilize Lean principles to increase efficiency.Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and picking processes to improve productivity.Investigate service issues and support root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.Manage customer relationships and address operational challenges proactively.Coordinate with internal teams and distribution locations to share best practices and standardize processes.Oversee the distribution center budget, expenses, and overall financial performance.Communicate transportation, carrier, and capacity concerns to leadership as needed.Lead special projects and operational initiatives as assigned.If you are interested, please apply!
