Certified Nurse Midwife - Woodward Associates (Hummelstown, PA)

UPMC Pinnacle Medical Services is hiring a Full-Time Certified Nurse Midwife to help support their UPMC Woodward Associate's team in Hummelstown, PA! This position will primarily located in Hummelstown with regular travel to the other offices in Hershey, PA as needed. Hours: Monday through Sunday shifts. Rotating weekends and holidays. On call required, 12 or 24 hour shifts. Location: This position will support several offices based on staff needs. This position will also work at UPMC Harrisburg to support hospital needs. Participates in the care of women with medical complications in collaboration with obstetricians/gynecologists. Responsibilities: Perform accurate history and physical examinations on essentially healthy women, order and interpret diagnostic tests, diagnose problems, and manage minor problems and illnesses. Provide primary care in an ambulatory setting to women: preconception care, prenatal care, labor and delivery management, postpartum care, normal newborn care, well-woman gynecology, family planning, counseling in health promotion, maintenance and disease prevention. Participate in research and continuing education activities. Instruct and supervise nursing and medical personnel. Follow the mandatory reporting procedures for any incident or serious event that did affect or potentially could have affected the clinical care of any patient. Identify deviations from normal and consults, co-manages or refers as appropriate. Provide individualized educational opportunities for students including mentoring, supervision and evaluation.
