We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer who is passionate about the construction process to join our team in NY, NY. A Day in the Life:

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project team
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients
• Review building codes to assure proper implementation in design
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as construction
• Produce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracy
• Manage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teams
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy managing projects

Necessary Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering
• 8+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial construction
• Ability to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation design
• Proficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is preferred
• Knowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferred
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is required

Typical base compensation for the Senior Structural Engineer role is between $110,000.00 - $140,000.00. Candidates with extensive experience may exceed this range. In addition to the base salary, the role is eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation based on individual and company performance.
