Quality Technician

Imagine being part of a team responsible for manufacturing some of the largest gears produced in the world. Located in Princeton, Indiana, HMC Gears is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of large, critical gearing and components for the mining, steel, defense, and aggregate industries. HMC Gears is seeking a Quality Technician with a strong understanding of mechanical components and precision measurement. In this role, you will work closely with engineers to develop measurement strategies and inspect parts using tools such as micrometers, calipers, laser measurement equipment, and other precision instruments. You will be responsible for inspecting raw materials and finished parts, reading and interpreting drawings and specifications, and completing quality documentation and reporting. Responsibilities include performing dimensional inspections, supporting process quality checks, and ensuring compliance with engineering requirements. Preferred qualifications include experience with CMM equipment, SolidWorks, FEA analysis, and MAG particle inspection, though these are not required. Ideal candidates are self-starters who are detail-oriented, patient, and driven, with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
