For the Landscape CDL Driver, this means delivering bulk materials to job sites and customer locations with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency, while ensuring vehicles and delivery areas are well maintained and organized. By working collaboratively with team members and interacting professionally with customers, the Landscape CDL Driver helps ensure deliveries are completed on time and in alignment with Adams' standards for quality and service.Your Day-to-DayDeliver bulk landscape materials to customer locations and job sites with a focus on safety and accuracy.Load, transport, and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper handling and minimal product lossVerify delivery orders, quantities, and locations to ensure accurate and complete deliveriesOperate delivery vehicles and equipment safely, following all traffic laws and company safety guidelinesMaintain clean, organized vehicles and ensure routine inspections and basic maintenance are completedCommunicate with the Bulk Yard team regarding delivery schedules, order details, and any changes.Interact professionally with customers during deliveries and ensuring a positive experienceCoordinate with yard team members to ensure efficient loading and staging of materials for delivery routesMonitor delivery schedules and adjust as needed to support timely service and changing prioritiesAssist in the yard as needed, including loading materials, and supporting daily operationsReport any delivery issues, delays, vehicle concerns, or customer feedback to supervisors promptlyFollow direction from supervisors and support overall landscape and bulk yard operations as neededWhat You Bring To The TeamValid Class B CDL driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate delivery trucks and equipment safelyAbility to operate a standard transmission vehicle.Previous experience in delivery driving, landscaping, construction, or a related field preferredAbility to pass a background check, including Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review and drug testWorking knowledge of safe driving practices, material handling, and equipment useAbility to perform physical tasks, including lifting, loading, and working in outdoor environments in varying conditionsStrong attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries and proper handling of materialsAbility to follow direction and work independently while also collaborating with yard team members and supervisorsAbility to maintain clean, organized, and safe vehicles and work areasStrong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team membersDemonstrates reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethicExhibits enthusiasm, positivity, and knowledge of Adams' products and qualityWorking ConditionsAbility to work a flexible schedule to manage varying business demandsAbility to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 80 pounds (with assistance)Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periodsOccasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladderRepeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shiftMoving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environmentsExposure to outdoor environmentsPerks Of The JobAt Adams, we believe in recognizing and rewarding excellent work with competitive compensation and meaningful benefits.
