Key Responsibilities\nAs a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will be entrusted with several critical responsibilities, including but not limited to:

- Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders in clients. \n
- Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique goals and preferences, thereby ensuring personalized care. \n
- Utilizing evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address and manage various psychological challenges. \n
- Providing educational resources and emotional support to clients and their families, informing them about mood disorders, potential treatments, and effective self-care strategies. \n
- Continuously monitoring client progress and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations. \n
- Collaborating with psychiatrists and medical professionals to create an integrated care plan that best supports the holistic needs of the client. \n
- Maintaining detailed and confidential documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, reflecting the ongoing therapeutic processes. \n
- Participating in regular case consultations and team meetings to enhance collaborative decision-making and strategize collectively on treatment modalities. \n
- Championing client advocacy by addressing issues of mental health stigmatization and working towards meeting their individual mental health needs. \n
Your role will primarily focus on clients grappling with various mood disorders, including, but not limited to, depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will have the opportunity to serve a multi-faceted client base, including marginalized populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. By providing compassionate care and evidence-based solutions, you will play a pivotal role in promoting recovery and enhancing quality of life within our community.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required. \n
- A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field. \n
- Possess robust communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients. \n
- Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ life experiences and struggles. \n
- Strong organizational and time-management skills necessary for effective workload management and accurate documentation practices. \n
While there are no strict requirements beyond the necessary qualifications, candidates with experience in teletherapy or working with diverse populations dealing with mood disorders will be viewed favorably. Additionally, familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is beneficial for maintaining the required documentation efficiently.
