QA Technician, Level 2

QA Technician, Level 2, 2nd Shift

Ensure that products produced, in your area of responsibility, are in accordance with established QA guidelines.

Job duties include batter tests, net weights, product temperature checks, box counts, boneless product inspection, inedible dock checks, hold/release record keeping, scale/metal detector checks, general record keeping/filing, condemned/contamination reports, research data for customer complaints, sample collection for bacti/prep and fat and moisture, formulation/marination checks, returned product inspection/paperwork, FFA test on oils, cooler checks, assist with receiving inspection, tolerant of extended periods of time standing, walking & variation in environment, bug light checks, rodent trap checks, thermometer calibrations, sanitation inspections, mid-shift swabs, verify monitor tests to satisfy HACCP/SQF. Perform other duties as assigned.

Working conditions include exposure to varying temperatures from warm to cold, some heavy lifting, dust, noise, slippery floors. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent, must pass company math test, computer knowledge and the ability to work well with other departments is essential, self motivated, quality minded, reliable individual, must be able to work with little supervision, ability to use Radio/phone system, ability to stand, walk and climb stairs, up to 8 hours per day, must be able to work with and handle confidential information, must meet the physical abilities evaluation for this position, must successfully complete all required training.
