The work is performed in a semi‑enclosed elevated structure. Performing the duties there may be exposure to elements present in an outdoor environment, but none are present to the extent of being disagreeable. Primary Responsibility and Duties Essential Functions Technical Capacity Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments including computers. Thoroughness Process associated documentation, including inspection documents and compliance reports. Ensure accuracy and quality specifications. Continuous mental and visual attention required. Organizational Skills Complete inspection and documentation accurately and efficiently to meet production goals. Possess effective communication and the ability to follow instructions. Personal Effectiveness / Credibility Be impartial and perform all duties in a professional manner. Be flexible, punctual, and dependable. Be available to work day, night, weekend, and/or holiday shifts as stated on the Conditional Offer. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Problem Solving / Analysis Ability to work with or without direct supervision in accordance with laws, instructions and techniques. Physical Demands Constant repetitive use of both hands for grasping and fine manipulation. Constant repetitive pushing and pulling of sample tubs (30lbs–40lbs). Frequent twisting at the neck and waist. Reaching overhead. Occasionally lifting up to 10lbs. Concentrated mental and visual attention. Typing and 10‑key. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work Full‑time seasonal position (hours of work and days vary). Eligible for overtime pay (non‑exempt according to the Fair Labor Standards Act). Length of service is relative to the grape harvest. Required Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED required. A minimum of three months of related agricultural experience. Basic computer skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Intermediate written communication and mathematical skills. General safety knowledge. Substitute Eligibility Qualifications Completion or enrollment in 12 semester units may be substituted for 3 months of agricultural experience. A minimum of 3 months seasonal employment may be substituted for 3 months of agricultural experience.
