Field Sales Representative

Viracon LLC Viracon is a leader in architectural glass. We are the largest single site glass fabricator in the U.S. and one of the largest in the world. We offer over a million customizable options for customers unique specifications in the architectural glass industry. We are looking for a Field Sales Rep for the midwest region to join our team! After a 7 - 10 month training period, you will have the opportunity to move into a region and be eligible for commissions. In this position you will have a hand in the process of building some of the most elegant large-scale buildings across the world. Role Summary Promote and sell Viracon architectural fabricated glass products within an assigned territory. Build strong relationships with architects, glazing contractors, developers, and construction influencers to grow sales, expand market presence, and support overall profitability. Key Responsibilities Sales & Relationship Development Promote Viracon products, including High‑Value Adds (HVAs) and High‑Value Products (HVPs), to architects, developers, contractors, and other influencers. Build strong relationships with glazing contractors, architects, and key developers/owners. Represent Viracon at regional trade shows, industry events, and customer visits. Partner with Customer Service and internal teams to ensure a coordinated, team‑based sales approach. Product, Market & Territory Management Maintain expert knowledge of Viracon products, manufacturing processes, quality standards, pricing, and scheduling. Understand territory market dynamics, competitor capabilities, and go‑to‑market strategies. Collaborate with your Architectural Glass Studio associate to increase product awareness. Assist with annual budgeting and develop strategic plans to achieve territory goals. Follow up on forecasted projects and maintain accurate CRM entries. Operational & Reporting Requirements Complete monthly reporting, including territory reviews and top‑project updates. Maintain monthly budgets and submit accurate, timely expense reports. Manage travel and expenses responsibly to support cost efficiency. Support continuous improvement efforts and participate in mid‑year and annual sales meetings. Negotiate warranty claim settlements as needed under leadership direction. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or minimum 5 years of glass fabrication field sales experience. Strong time‑management skills and ability to work independently. Effective communication and teamwork skills; able to work cross‑functionally. Proficiency with computers and CRM tools. Ability to read, write, and understand English work instructions. Consistent, full‑time attendance and ability to safely perform essential job functions. Positive representation of Viracon and adherence to company policies.
