Schedule: Weekends: Every other weekend - Holidays: If 1–2 major holidays fall in the assignment, traveler is expected to work them; if 3 fall, traveler is expected to work two.

Assignment Details: Average census: 27 - Ratio: 1:6

Requirements: Minimum 2 years RN experience - Travel experience required - Licensure: GA or Compact RN license required at time of submission - Required certifications: BLS, NIH Stroke Scale

Key clinical skills:

• Medical/Surgical and post-op care (including thoracic/abdominal surgeries)
• Management of chest tubes, NGT, feeding tubes, wound vacs, ostomy care
• IV/PICC care and vascular access, phlebotomy
• Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Respiratory support: nasal cannula, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen therapy
• ABG interpretation, insulin/IV insulin protocols, heparin
• Participation in rapid response/code team, wound care

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for adult and geriatric populations in a Med-Surg setting.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions using appropriate nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders and established protocols.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health management and recovery processes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and outcomes.

Compliance / Notes:

• Full compliance required to start on time; if incomplete, start may be pushed ~2 weeks (bi-weekly orientation schedule).
• Orientation: 12 hours (Non-billable orientation hours vary by contract length).
• Pre-approved time off: Two days (subject to RTO rules).
• Max RTO: 7 days per contract; no RTO during orientation week.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate.
