School Van Driver – West Shore SD – $19.50/Hour – No CDL Required

Rohrer Bus, based in Duncannon, PA, has delivered school and commercial passenger transportation solutions for over a century. We're hiring School Van Drivers now, no CDL required, just a valid driver's license.

Pay: $19.50 per hour. Most routes run 4–6 hours per day, with some opportunities for longer routes.

What You'll Do

• Play a vital role in getting students safely to and from school every day
• Safely and courteously transport students in accordance with all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and local policies
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to pick up and drop off students at designated stops
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle safety inspections, including lights, brakes, tires, and emergency exits
• Maintain a safe, orderly environment on board and report behavioral issues to school administrators per district policy
• Assist students boarding and exiting safely, including securing wheelchairs or other mobility devices as required
• Immediately report delays, mechanical defects, or incidents to dispatch and management
• Attend required safety and training meetings and conduct emergency evacuation drills per company and district policy

What We're Looking For

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license with at least 3 years of satisfactory driving history
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Ability to pass initial and routine physical exams and drug/alcohol screening programs
• Comfortable using or learning fleet and workforce technology systems such as Samsara (GPS/vehicle tracking) and Dayforce (scheduling/HR)
• Able to work without direct supervision and manage time effectively across assigned routes

• Responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and organized
• Must be able to work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures
• Other specialized functions as required by contract
