Associate Director, Oncology Key Accounts - Philadelphia/NJ

Merck seeks an Associate Director to manage oncology key accounts across Philadelphia and New Jersey, serving large group practices and integrated delivery networks. The role combines clinical expertise with business acumen to drive appropriate product utilization and improve patient outcomes through trusted partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for large oncology group practices and integrated delivery networks in assigned geography
• Build and maintain strategic account plans aligned with company marketing guidance and customer needs
• Understand and communicate applicable product portfolio and clinical information to key decision makers
• Utilize data analytics to assess account performance and identify engagement opportunities
• Coordinate across internal teams to ensure contract execution and address account-specific requests

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years sales experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years equivalent experience
• Minimum 2 years healthcare, life sciences, sales, account management, or managed care experience
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior healthcare executives and key opinion leaders
• Strong financial acumen and ability to negotiate and communicate value propositions
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50%
• Deep understanding of healthcare ecosystem and excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Oncology experience strongly preferred; advanced degree preferred
